UK flood management scheme
This resource focuses on flood management and examines the scheme used in Cockermouth, Cumbria, as an example. Students read and classify information from a fact sheet, identifying the causes of flooding in this area, what management strategies were used and the social, economic and environmental issues associated with the scheme. They then complete a case study summary sheet.
Also included is an exam-style question, which includes mark scheme and peer assessment. There are teaching notes offering guidance on how to manage the lesson and three example answers for the exam question, one for each level on the mark scheme.
