Why are deserts expanding?

This resource investigates the causes of desertification, focusing on the Sahara desert region. As a starter students complete a numeracy task identifying rates of desertification. They then use statements to complete a Venn diagram card sort activity, trying to make justifications and connections between the different causes. Using their Venn diagram they should consolidate their knowledge by creating a mind map.
