What is a map?
A resource looking at different types of maps. Students consider what a map is and why we use them. They then complete an independent learning activity to analyse the features of different maps. They should look at four different maps and for each consider what it shows, does it use symbols, why is would be useful and if it would ever change.
The lesson PowerPoint summarises this information to consolidate their knowledge during class discussion.
