Avalanche management

A complete sequence of tasks where students look at avalanche management. Students develop their knowledge and understanding of avalanches and why they occur. They then use this knowledge to complete a decision making task on avalanche management in Alaska. 

Included are all decision making information sheets, student recording sheets and differentiated report writing support sheets. Thorough teaching notes offering guidance for all tasks are also included. 

These activities could be taught over a series of two or more lessons.
