Plants and animals of the Arctic tundra
This resource makes use of a BBC class clip on the Arctic tundra. Students watch the video clip on how animals and people adapt to life in the Arctic tundra. They should make notes on the location, key features and characteristics of tundra. Then consider the ways animals, plants and people have adapted to and use this biome. Students should then carry out some independent research into another plant or animal and explain the adaptations which help it survive in the Arctic tundra.
