This resource is designed to introduce the case study of Kielder Water reservoir in north-east England. It includes a factsheet, cost-benefit analysis and a colour-coding task related to the environmental, economic and social impacts of the scheme. This is an ideal activity when studying water surplus and deficit and water transfer schemes in the UK.
Extension tasks and answers are provided. Students could use this to complete a case study either at KS3 or at KS4.
