A meander dinghy race
This resource looks at the river process acting on a meander. Students use an image of a meandering river to plot the course of the fastest flow and annotate the different features of the meander created by erosion and deposition. Annotating the image in this way helps with this key geographical skill often seen in examinations. Teaching notes are included with answers and an extension task looking at the formation of ox bow lakes.
