Issues in a rapidly changing world

A thought provoking starter (or plenary). A series of slides prompt the students to answer the key questions surrounding an issue i.e cause, effect and response. The slides are images of the semi-arid environment of the South Dakota Badlands.

Just out of interest, most of these images were taken in Utah and in particular in and around Page.

I know as I spent two weeks around there last Autumn as part of a 3 month trip around the Rockies.
Slide 1: Horseshoe bend on the Colorado. Slide 2 also on the Colorado, slide 3 & 4 are Bryce National Park; Slide 5 was taken in Ontario Canada (I checked it out on Flickr, as we did not get as far as Canada); 6 was taken at Antelope Canyon and I believe that 7 was taken in Monument Valley.
