The carbon cycle: adaptation and mitigation strategies

Students develop their 'assess and evaluate' writing skills using examples of adaptation and mitigation strategies within the carbon cycle. Evaluation thermometers are used as a helpful visual way to facilitate discussion of the relative effectiveness of each strategy. Students can then build arguments for and/or against the strategies to evaluate and assess them.
