Unipolar and neo-colonial power
A resource looking at unipolar world power and making comparisons to old world colonial power. Students consider how colonialism used direct control (hard power) and how neo-colonialism uses indirect control (soft power). Tasks included are a map analysis task looking at how America has used a soft power approach and a literacy task looking at the example of the Ghanaian cocoa industry.
