Oak National Academy

The move to remote education for the majority of students is putting huge pressure on schools and teachers. Oak National Academy is an online classroom created by teachers, for teachers, and has been funded by the Department for Education to help.

We provide free, optional and high quality video lessons and curricular resources to support remote teaching and lesson planning inline with the latest guidance and expectations from the DfE and Ofsted.

There are around 10,000 lessons, covering the majority of core subjects from reception to year 11. Created as a national response to the pandemic, we have now delivered over 45 million lessons to pupils across England and beyond. There are two main areas of the Oak website:

Classroom : Designed for pupils and parents - easy to find and follow lessons, which
include a quiz, pre-recorded teacher video and worksheets and activities.

Teacher Hub : Designed for teachers to explore our units, download curriculum
maps and access all the resources - quizzes, videos, presentation slides and
worksheets. In the majority of lessons teachers can download, edit and print slides
and worksheets.

There’s no login or password, the website works on nearly any device, and pupils only need materials they can find at home.
