This extended starter provides an introduction to Fairtrade using the 'initial stimulus material' approach. It demonstrates the inequalities of earnings for different groups of people from the sale of a chocolate bar.

Compelling stuff if you use real choc. The children knew the way the beans or cash would be divided up would be unfair but were still shocked by the result.
